Gault Millau honors Heinz Heiler as "mastermind of organic viticulture" - Another accolade after the two "Wine Oscars" and many other awards

Heinz Heiler was born with a passion for wine.

Born in 1940 in one of Baden's best-known wine regions, Kraichgau, the businessman had taken over two traditional wineries, first Heitlinger and then Burg Ravensburg, in the early 2000s after a successful career as a real estate dealer, building contractor and co-founder of the "Motel One" hotel chain, and led them to success. But not only that: He made sure that production was converted to biodynamics.

Meanwhile, with a total of 140 hectares, Heitlinger and Burg Ravensburg are among the best sites in the Kraichgau region around Tiefenbach and Sulzfeld, as well as among the largest and most successful organic wineries in Germany. Both are members of the Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates (VDP), to which only about 200 of Germany's best wineries belong.

The Gault & Millau, now awarded Heinz Heiler in the Genussguide Baden-Württemberg as a "thought leader in organic viticulture". This is not the first time that the two wineries have been in the spotlight and showered with awards, as evidenced by many certificates (Falstaff, Feinschmecker, Parker, Gault Millau, Meininger, FAZ, etc.).
